Quotes of the Week

Enlightened insights taken from the past week’s reading:

"An unchallenged tyranny today becomes accepted public policy tomorrow."

Daniel Miller, President of the Texas Nationalist Movement and candidate for Texas Lieutenant Governor.

"The whole notion that COVID-19 is one health condition is a lie. COVID IS NOT ONE THING.

This is both the hardest and simplest point to accept and understand.

Don’t reject the existence of the virus and then say, 'So what is THE cause of people dying?' There is no ONE CAUSE. There is no one illness. There is no 'it.'

By far, the biggest sources of illness we are dealing with are lung conditions: called pneumonia, flu, flu-like disease, TB, other unnamed lung/respiratory problems.

THESE ARE BEING RELABELED 'COVID.' It’s a repackaging scheme. People are dying for those traditional reasons, and their deaths are being called 'COVID.'

Thus, the old is artificially made new. It’s still old."

Jon Rappoport

"Destructive ideas usually start with 'intellectuals.' Intellectuals typically despise business, commerce, and production, and they envy the money the capitalists have. Intellectuals feel they’re not only smarter but also much more moral than business people. That gives them the right, in their own eyes, to dictate to everyone else. They’re usually socialists, and approve of 'cadres' like themselves, ordering everyone else around. Intellectuals naturally gravitate to the universities, where they’re paid to hang out with each other, be lionized by kids, and hatch goofy ideas.

This has always been the case. But it’s become a much bigger problem than in the past, partly because a much, much higher percentage of kids go to college now than ever before. Even in the recent past, at most five or 10 percent of kids went to college. These days, almost everybody goes, and a much higher proportion of the youth are being infected with leftist memes than ever before."

Doug Casey

"There is always, in any society, a minority whose instincts rejoice in the permission to persecute; it is a release from civilization."

Will Durant

"Whether he chooses or not, every man is drawn into the great historical struggle, the decisive battle into which our epoch has plunged us."

Ludwig von Mises

"The animal farm is that world arena wherein man collectively surrenders himself, his personal being, his ego to the collective and obedient faith in government authority. It's all very simple. A crowd can be manipulated into an altered state of consciousness, finally evolving into a growing attitude of docility, whereas an individualistic person cannot be manipulated so easily.

Believe me, the politicians and bureaucrats know this and use it for ongoing deception. This is how people are enslaved.

The state always considers that a self-sufficient and independent thinker is a threat to collectivism and its efforts to deceive the masses. This is because we dare not fall into the trap of ascribing too much power to government and politicians who sell their souls to the god of this world in the political realm by placing too much emphasis on the political system."

Bob Livingston

"American media are divided into 'respectable' and 'non-respectable' media. Respectable media, which are the only ones that are read by the American political elite, and presumably are all that filters down to European readers, are completely biased in favor of social democracy."

Murray Rothbard, 1993

"The acceptance of plunder is as sinful as the plundering itself. But where are the words to portray the sinful nature of plunder?

Many of us, over the years, have used the words 'special privilege' to describe freedom’s opposite—the plundering way of life. But these words no longer serve to describe the undesirable; they have lost their derogatory impact. So widespread is the practice of plunder that what were at one time devised as special grants of political power—and were more or less clearly recognized as such—are now claimed as the inalienable rights of the special class spawned by such privileges. Among pigs at the trough, there is no stigma."

Leonard Reed

"Americans once believed themselves to be uniquely blessed people, abiding in riches in the indispensable nation. That worked for many decades following the Second World. Now we can count ourselves among the uniquely cursed, unable to escape the grim damage of a country ruled by counterfeiters, thieves, and liars."

Jeffrey Tucker

"Every generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it."

George Orwell

"You do not defend a world that is already lost. When was it lost? That you cannot say precisely. It is a point for the revolutionary historian to ponder. We know only that it was surrendered peacefully, without a struggle, almost unawares. There was no day, no hour, no celebration of the event—and yet definitely, the ultimate power of initiative did pass from the hands of private enterprise to government.

There it is and there it will remain until, if ever, it shall be reconquered. Certainly government will never surrender it without a struggle."

Garet Garett

"The gender and 'trans' issues are really at the forefront of leftist ideology these days. If you have observed these people for any length of time you know all about the Oppression Olympics and the intersectional totem pole. And you are also probably aware that people who claim to be trans earn an automatic spot at the top of that totem pole, well above women, black people and even your run-of-the-mill gay people. The trans costume is the most powerful of all SJW costumes and imbues a person with unlimited protection no matter how terrible that person might be. It also allows them to dictate the very thoughts and speech of the public at large.

It is important to note that the trans identity is a sort of magic ticket for white people in particular. The SJW cult is especially concerned with all white people (mainly white men) as some kind of monstrous threat to the safety and emotional stability of everyone else. If you are a white person within the SJW religion, you are immediately hated for your original sin and are relegated to the leftist gutter. They despise your skin color, and no amount of help you give as an 'ally' is going to earn you a place among the oh-so-holy oppressed.

Unless that is, you say you are trans. Then, as if you have touched the pure hand of the SJW deity, you are suddenly absolved of all your inherent white evil and are given a mantle of divinity. You are better than everyone else because you are supposedly the most oppressed of them all."

Brandon Smith

"Based on the parameters I rely on, it seems like the US and western centric elites and their enabling/controlled government institutions are actually in serious peril.  The same technology that allows a comprehensive surveillance state, and instant knowledge about consumer actions in consumer-driven economies, also allows individuals and groups to create their own paths and pursue them.  In the past, rulers and emperors might trust that their message of power, relevance, and control was being received, and if not, the king’s enforcers could strengthen the narrative with a well-planned act of terror against those who were questioning his authority. The same technology that allows rapid proto-typing of drugs and genetic therapies also allows a billion new voices, and new inventions, new shortcuts, and new ideas to be shared just as rapidly.  Today, top down control is far less sustainable, and any one big narrative is more likely to be laughed at than adopted as truth."

Karen Kwiatkowski
