Quotes of the Week

Enlightened insights taken from the past week’s reading:

"To oppose the covid regime, one need not be an 'antivaxxer.' One must merely assert one’s rights. Lockdowns and vaccine mandates represent the abrogation of property rights—first and foremost the right of bodily autonomy—or the right to do what one deems proper with one’s own body. This right cannot be superseded by the supposed right of others not to be infected. Such a right is not only scientifically spurious in the current context; it is indefensible in principle, regardless of context. It is about time to state this clearly and directly: the onus is on those who fear infection to protect themselves from the virus and its variants, and not on others—whether they are vaccinated or not.

The covid regime brings despotism not only because it is destroying the property of small business owners, landlords, and workers, while increasing the power of the state. It also infringes on the fundamental right over one’s person—which is to say that it makes otherwise free individuals into slaves."

Michael Rectenwald

"All empires die. The end is usually unpleasant. The American empire, humiliated in Afghanistan as it was in Syria, Iraq, and Libya, as it was at the Bay of Pigs and in Vietnam, is blind to its own declining strength, ineptitude, and savagery. Its entire economy, a 'military Keynesianism,' revolves around the war industry. Military spending and war are the engine behind the nation’s economic survival and identity. It does not matter that with each new debacle the United States turns larger and larger parts of the globe against it and all it claims to represent. It has no mechanism to stop itself, despite its numerous defeats, fiascos, blunders and diminishing power, from striking out irrationally like a wounded animal. The mandarins who oversee our collective suicide, despite repeated failure, doggedly insist we can reshape the world in our own image. This myopia creates the very conditions that accelerate the empire’s demise."

Chris Hedges

"The human animal has for many thousands of years not only bowed to 'leaders' or masters, and sought recognition of local or national prominence, but has actively pursued his own enslavement either by allowing despotic rule, or voluntarily choosing others to rule over him. In this country, the people were ruled by a far away king, but decided to revolt to throw off that rule in favor of another. Instead of freedom or another monarchy, they chose mob rule headed up by a master class that sat above them, made all laws, enforced all laws, and had control of all legislation and courts. This was actually a much worse system, and one riper for corruption than the one they replaced. The difference was only that most agreed to this new system voluntarily, and as time passed, they continued to support the tyranny by 'voting' to keep it in place, all the time falsely believing they were in control."

Gary D. Barnett

"The citizen is becoming a pawn in a game where nobody knows the rules, where everybody consequently doubts that there are rules at all, and where the vocabulary has been diminished to such an extent that nobody is even sure what the game is all about."

Andrew Eldritch

"The nature of government is to perpetually grow, and the nature of politics and politicians is for wealth and power. They represent government, not you.

Governments and politicians mask their agendas and create illusions to deceive and misrepresent. They look upon the public as a herd that should be deceived and led for the benefit of government and the elite.

The answer for us is to inquire into government morality, the nature of which is universalism.

In the vision of utopian universalism, there are no races, colors, creeds nor standards of excellence. Sound familiar?

Universalism organizes around and goes forward under similar ideologies ranging from humanitarianism to egalitarianism. These politico-religious ideologies are akin in their humanist depiction of men as victims of history, victims of other men and victims of God and in the belief in human progress or works as necessary to salvation. Universalism incorporates Islam, Judaism and all brotherhood religions in the religious sphere.

Universalism is socialism, communism and democracy in the political sphere. Universalism trumpets perfect freedom while resulting in total slavery. In the United States, universalism has led to the state of affairs we find ourselves in."

Bob Livingston

"We’re as angry as we ought to be, but because of careful narrative manipulation our anger is directed at each other instead of the people at the top. People often have more emotionality toward someone expressing the wrong opinion about AOC or ivermectin than they have toward the oligarchy."

Caitlin Johnstone

"It’s been far harder than anyone imagined it would be to recapture essential American values from the plotters who trampled them. Now we are left with a minority of political leaders who have been heroic and indefatigable in their determination to resist. They face now a steep uphill climb to prevail and protect their citizens rights against this unprecedented onslaught.

The more time has gone on, however, it becomes ever easier to call how this will end. Capital is draining from lockdown states into those states that defend freedom. With that comes innovation, people, and a vision of the future. That future is in Miami, Atlanta, and Dallas, and in smaller areas outside the larger cities. Capital and people flow toward freedom. Meanwhile, there is no easy way out for places like Boston and New York City, today. The larger implication for the future: the impact on the future of America will be as dramatic as the Western migration of the 19th century."

Jeffrey Tucker

"It’s time to take the gloves off. Those who are still asleep after more than a year of mask wearing, social distancing, second waves, variants, and untested vaccines, are beyond help. Their indoctrination is so complete that it would probably be impossible to deprogram them, like they used to have to do with escaped Moonies. And we can’t underestimate the role human nature plays here. Those who have been fooled to such an embarrassing extent are never going to admit we were right. This psyop, and all others, are only possible because those pointing out the emperor is wearing no clothes can be successfully demonized in their eyes. They’ve taught the sheeple to hate 'conspiracy theorists' as much as they’ve hated any of the foreign hobgoblins of the past."

Donald Jeffries

"The state never intentionally confronts a man’s sense, intellectual or moral, but only his body, his senses. It is not armed with superior wit or honesty, but with superior physical strength. I was not born to be forced. I will breathe after my own fashion. Let us see who is the strongest."

Henry David Thoreau, Civil Disobedience

"Frankly, I don't care if someone wears a mask or not. It's a placebo that does nothing to stop the transmission of the virus, but if it makes them feel better then more power to them. The issue is when these scared and pathetic people try to project their delusions onto everyone else. COVID's median death rate of 0.26 percent is so small it boggles my mind that so many people in blue states and counties are so terrified. I don't think they understand the basic statistics of the situation — 99.7 percent of the population has little to fear from COVID.

This is a fact according to the CDC and dozens of mainstream and independent medical studies, but you will never hear these numbers in the media. They will talk of infection numbers and deaths, but they refuse to put the deaths in perspective with the statistics. Why? Because then the public fear would go away, and the establishment needs to ramp up the fear so that they can continue to take away our freedoms in the name of 'safety'."

Brandon Smith

"There’s no denying that the state wants everyone to heed the 'counsel' of the CDC, the FDA, the executive branch, etc. in believing that 'the vaccine' is the only thing that will 'save' us from COVID and those who disagree are to be shunned from society.

It’s time to call a spade a spade: That is nothing less than state-enforced religion and easily meets all ten criteria for the definition of a cult."

Dave Paradise

"Unlike the Crusaders and the Christian defenders of Christendom at the Battle of Lepanto or at the two sieges of Vienna, we now face the Islamic threat for the wrong reasons. We seek to impose 'liberal democracy' and (secular) 'human rights' on essentially primitive countries  that are far more in tune with the orthodoxy of Islam than to LGBT rights and women’s 'liberation' (which is about all I hear being spouted by the likes of anti-Confederate Brian Kilmeade on Fox).

Instead of crusades for our historic faith and Western Christian civilization, we offer the venomous infection of 'American exceptionalism,' which is now an olio of the secularist globalist virus which is destroying us here at home.

Thus what we have seen in Kabul, or in Iraq, or in Somalia, or in Bosnia, or in Syria, when our nation has attempted to impose a secularist framework, and is opposed by a concerted and fanatical religious opposition which has popular support.

In effect, we have become an agent of modernist destruction. Oftentimes we may indeed be opposing an evil, but for the wrong reasons, and thus opposing one evil with one, in some ways, even more evil and fearsome."

Boyd D. Cathey

"The Australian two-step:

Step One:  Confiscate all privately-owned firearms from law-abiding citizens, leaving only criminals and the state (sorry for the redundancy) in possession of firearms.

Step Two:  Turn Australia into a totalitarian hellhole, a down-under North Korea.

Sounds kinda like Chicago, doesn’t it?"

Tom DiLorenzo

"Spewing forth the scurrilous epithet 'isolationist' as if it were some form of demonic voodoo won’t cut it anymore. The neoliberal 'humanitarian interventionists' and their mirror image neocon horde should know that the American people are fed up with their seemingly endless lies and vilification concerning persons counseling nonintervention in the internal affairs of other nations. They have seen first-hand what such globalloney lies have brought on our nation with disastrous preemptive wars of aggression."

Charles Burris

Biden pretends to get the booster shot. They would NEVER dare give him the real thing. What if he died? That would end the vaccines. Come on. There is no way they would risk giving this guy anything but water.
