State Gangsters Turn to Direct Mail

The State of Texas is mailing coupons to their subjects, encouraging them to participate in their lottery monopoly. Apparently, sales of lottery tickets are sagging as people wise up and hold on to their money for more pressing needs- like food and shelter. Big Tex just wants to offer a friendly reminder that the state’s needs come first. Don’t be selfish!

This is a great example why monopolies, particularly those operated by the state, are an intolerable evil. The state outlaws private individuals participating in such gambling ventures, even classifying such behavior as immoral and personally destructive. Yet, it seems to forget those principles when operating and promoting its own gambling ventures. Try to offer gambling customers an alternative to the state’s and you’ll be prosecuted and imprisoned.
The state protects its vice monopolies with the same vigor as The Mob. Neither will accept competition.

Texans and all state serfs need to realize that buying a lottery ticket is nothing more than voluntary taxation. Why agree, without coercion, to voluntarily give up your wealth to an organization that produces nothing useful and uses that very money to fund activities that are not in your best interest?

A Graphic Look at the Political Landscape

A reader who responded to my “Why” piece on LRC referred me to a useful website. I enjoyed looking at the "Political Landscape" graph that places the constitutionalist in the middle! Today, of course, the public and the media place that poor fellow barely clinging to the far right edge of this illustration. I can easily conclude then that the courageous anarchist has been pushed completely off the page into that netherworld known as "the fringe."

I used to support the constitution until I realized it is a vain, heroic effort to use a piece of paper containing fancily written, eloquent words to defend flesh and blood from threatening, hungry packs of wolves.......who can't read.

What Goes Better With Killing Than Lying and Deceit?

Is there anyone slimier than a military recruiter? Apparently, soldiers that think nothing of killing children in Iraq and Afghanistan, are hired as recruiting goons to threaten high school kids at home.

Recruits that decide not to proceed with non-binding commitments are being threatened with arrest for desertion by angry recruiters. Read all the gory details here. No need to comment- any thoughts written by me would be obvious to anyone who believes that the state should be held to the same standard of accountability as are individuals. The state, in this case, responds with the usual admonition toward the offending party- reassingnment and/or a promotion.

This quote from Congress-Critter Ted Poe really got my attention: “Our country cannot deceive its citizens.”
Than why do you accept the continued reign of a lying dictator?

DVD Reviews

Cream at Royal Albert Hall: The myth lives on that rock and roll is for the young to perform. But why? These fellows certainly proved the contrary during this performance, recorded over four nights in 2005. I know that the band members will be the first to state that they are more of a blues band than a rock band, but their innovative style and top notch musicianship played an important role in the evolution of rock music. The fact that Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce are, and still are, superb musicians, is obvious. But watching this performance reminded me how important and absolutely essential Ginger Baker’s drumming style was to the “Cream sound.” Too old? Hardly. This band is certainly more worthwhile listening to forty years past their time (not their prime) than the over-caffeinated, mediocre, teenage-band twits you see on Letterman.
Recommended

Killer Diller: Very funny, entertaining, low budget movie. Also some great blues music to get you swaying.
Recommended

The Men Who Killed Kennedy: Must see documentary. Soundly researched. The witness interviews reveal amazing information. When I attempt to convince someone that 911 was an inside job, the first thing I tell them to do is watch the collapse of WTC building 7. That experience alone should spark the curiosity of any reasonable person and inspire them to then examine the volumes of other evidence available. To convince the unbeliever that a conspiracy to kill JFK was covered up, the first fact to consider is that the testimony of all 8 eyewitnesses to the assassination (who were all within yards of Kennedy) were completely ignored by the Warren Commission and never mentioned in their report. Amazing.
Recommended (if you don’t see this I’ll slap you)

Rambo: This is the 60-something Rambo. Well written, graphically real war drama. One definite positive is the fictional story takes place in a very real situation- the genocide inflicted by the brutal regime of Burma. Apparently, this film has helped spread awareness of those atrocities and this movie is banned in Burma.
Recommended

The Bucket List: How can you resist watching two masters practice their craft together? A role perfectly matched for Morgan Freeman and one liner zingers that only Jack Nicholson can execute. This is the kind of film that you need to see now and then to remind you what is important.

No Trans-Fats For YOU!

Showing the deranged passion of the Soup Nazi, the state of California has banned the use of trans-fats. The War on Fat, now proudly follows other similar, state fiascos: The War on Some Drugs, The War on Terrrrrism, The War on Poverty, The War on Carbon Dioxide, The War on Climate, The War on Islam, The War on the Productive…… Soon we will be sharing images of the latest raid on non-complying restaurants. Try to picture goons with ski masks and automatic weapons, looking fearsome, dressed in black ninja garb, breaking down doors and terrorizing patrons. “On your knees, you fat consuming bastards!” The fed's vice squad will become the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Fat.

It would seem that the state would eventually run out of ideas how to tell you what to do, what to eat, what to breathe, what to read, what to write, what to say and how to say it, how to think, who to kill, and what to put into your body. Knowing that millions of decisions are made daily by individuals in the marketplace, the possibilities of even more state intervention, mischief and tyranny appear to be endless.

From the Light:

“Furthermore, taxes are not "owed" to the federal government; they are seized by the federal government. One "owes" money to another party from whom he has received goods or services pursuant to a legitimate contract. "Contracts" imposed through duress (such as extortion pay-offs) are illegitimate. Those of us who pay taxes do so not because a legitimate contract exists between us and the Regime that extracts our wealth; we do so because of a desire to stay out of prison, or to avoid violent death at the hands of the State's hired killers.”

Why? Random thoughts while considering the perplexing world of military rationalism

This column was published at LewRockwell.com as, "Proud to Be a Vietnam Vet?"

“It is such twisted thinking that leads those who refuse to examine the content of their minds to bleat about the soldiers who "fight for our freedom." What nonsense. Shall we next be told that Sunset Boulevard hookers are peddling virtue?” Butler Shaffer

Why would someone be “proud” to be a Vietnam veteran? Certainly, one shouldn’t necessarily be ashamed, particularly if they were conscripted. But what is there to be proud of? The US government lost the war. It was a war that, by all historical perspective, should not have involved the intervention of the US government and its military. In other words, the operation was misguided and a failure. What is there to be proud of?

Why is a soldier who is killed or captured in war considered a hero? It would seem to me that the first objective, when striving to be a successful soldier, is not to be killed or captured. It is impossible to achieve your goal of destroying your enemy when you are dead or locked up under his control. Instead of a “hero,” shouldn’t you be considered a failure?

Why does a US soldier say he is fighting for freedom when he, as an enlisted individual, is not free?

Why is it that military failure is never blamed on the military, itself, i.e., the individuals who make up the military? When confronted with the question of why the military lost the Vietnam War, or why the military did not protect the country (or even make an effort) on 9/11, or why was the military on that same date unable to even protect its own building- the answer is always, “it was someone else’s fault.” Members of the military can never seem to find fault in their own actions as reasons for their collective failures but always seem to find someone (or -thing) else to blame- be it politicians, war protestors, insufficient financial and asset support, etc.

Why do militarists proudly point out soldier’s benevolent acts toward civilians suffering the effects of war when it is the soldiers that caused the suffering in the first place?

Why do soldiers claim to be fighting for democracy (majority rule) in Iraq when the American democratic majority, for whom they claim to fight for, clearly has said they do not want the American military in Iraq?

Why do soldiers, who have taken an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States, violate that oath when partaking in illegally executed wars?

Why are soldiers who refuse to fight in violation of that oath considered “deserters” or “traitors?”

Why are soldiers considered the “best and the brightest” when they fail to understand the clear language of the US Constitution, heed to authority without question, and are unable to grasp the clear evidence that the leaders that command them are ignorant, corrupt, and deceiving? Shouldn’t they be
referred to as the “clueless and easily deceived?”

Why do soldiers claim “they fight for you” when “you” never requested the soldiers or anyone else do such a thing? Isn’t that a rather arrogant claim to make? I certainly don’t recall making such a request. “Excuse me, sir; do you have a signed contract that quotes me agreeing to your services?” And if soldiers do “fight for me” why am I not allowed any input on how they go about doing that? Instead they receive and accept orders from elsewhere.

Why do soldiers claim they “answered their country’s call?” How do millions of people “call” you? In reality, the only parties that called were the draft board and/or the recruiter.

Why do soldiers claim they defend “the country” when the largest threat to “the country” (the permanent regime located in Washington D.C.) is not only ignored but protected? If “the country” truly is “the people” and the role of the military is to protect “the people,” why does the military not protect “the people” from its government?

Attempts to answer these questions without the use of expletives, slogans, revisionist history, clich├ęs, or slander are welcome.

How to Beg for a House

The Wench Perry is now out on the street begging all to pay to rebuild her precious Governor’s mansion. You may recall a while back that the state of Texas had it’s “historical” Governor’s mansion torched during restoration. The event reminded me of the US military who claims to protect individuals under its dominion from ever greater evils lurking nearby, yet can’t even protect its own building from common riff-raff and nare-do-wells.

When I emailed the Chronicle reporter, inquiring why he didn’t bother to ask
Ms. Perry if the mansion was insured, he responded the state is “self-insured.” This, of course, is nonsense. No one can insure themselves. Insurance is defined as “coverage by contract whereby one party agrees to guarantee another against a specified loss.” The term, “self-insured” is merely state-speak for “we just tax the peasants to pay for it.” Remember, the state not only creates its own reality but speaks its own language that cleverly hides its criminal activity. The MSM dutifully passes on this deception through its concurrent use of state-speak.

Master Perry receives a salary of over $115,000 (not counting the aforementioned free housing, transportation, expense account, domestic staff and other perks) to perform whatever magic he does to direct the lives of 24 million Texans. A search to find his net worth (which must be millions) turned up empty. Don’t politicians have to file financial statements? Where is it? Regardless, I think the Perrys' can get along just fine providing their own housing. It’s safe to predict you won’t discover the royal couple living under a bridge.
The Wench Perry gives the usual whining that the structure is “the people’s house.” Yea, I’m sure when you’re living there “the people” can just walk inside anytime. After all, it’s theirs- right?
The restoration of the restoration is projected to cost “tens of millions of dollars.” Does that not strike a reasonable person as an excessive cost to restore an unnecessary structure of any kind, let alone a 152 year old, 9,500 square foot, burned out shell? But then, no cost is too high for the state when you can legally put a gun to the heads of 24,000,000 people and exact tribute.
I got a better idea- why not leave the mansion a pile of rubble to remind everyone how unnecessary that structure (and the state) is and prove that people's lives will go on just fine without the "people's house" and the state that claims it significant?
One last question- What makes agents of the state so pompous as to believe that every thing they touch, everything they do, every domicile they reside in, automatically becomes “historical?”

Chicken Little Digest

Thanks to STR, I was directed to a competent website that reports the latest nonsense and threats from the global warming kooks- Minnesotans for Global Warming. Despite the fact the editor does not have the courtesy to return complimentary emails, (so many Yankees seem to lack those social skills) I will recommend you check this site often.

Speaking of the GW looneys, they’re at it again. Self-proclaimed scientists claim that global warming may cause increased kidney stones. Every week now, there seems to be another goofy prediction of how "warming" will make life more miserable. I think it's a careful strategy on the part of warming alarmists.

Predicting melting ice caps and glaciers just doesn't seem to be enough to provoke serious alarm among the peasants. Perhaps if the predicted gloom and doom took a more personal approach, as to suffering discomfort in the "nether regions," the populace might be better motivated.

Next they'll be blaming global warming for the heartbreak of psoriasis.

10,000 B.C.: If you can buy the idea that wooly mammoths help build the pyramids and veloco-raptors had feathers and lived the same time as man, you may be able to enjoy this sci-fi fantasy. The viewer is treated to a slave revolt which is always inspiring.
Slightly recommended, but don’t hurry.

Starman: 1984 film starring Jeff Bridges as an alien that crash lands to earth. The hook is he takes the form of a woman’s recently deceased husband. Some well played comical moments. But I think the film accurately depicts what the state’s response would be in such an event. Rather treat him as an invited guest, the state intends to carve him up and analyze him.
Recommended.

Sahara- with Michael Palin: What I enjoy most about Palin’s travel programs is that he just doesn’t show you remarkable scenery witnessed during his travels, but spends time visiting and talking to people to understand their culture. There’s a lot of talking in this series since the countries that comprise the Sahara region have very little scenery worth sharing- with a couple of exceptions.
Recommended.

Dark Heart: An Iraq War vet returns home, tired of war, only to be ambushed by local thugs. Poor writing and mediocre acting. Grade B, all the way.

US Soldier Boys ‘Cut ‘n Run’

U.S. troops have pulled out of a remote outpost in northeastern Afghanistan, NATO-led security force said on Wednesday, three days after Taliban militants tried to overrun the base and killed nine U.S. soldiers.

If these clowns are fighting for my freedom, as they and their supporters claim, this action is unacceptable. Now my freedom and security is at risk.

Let me get this straight. If soldier boys fight and die they’re considered “heroes”, even though being killed would seem to indicate failure. After all, how can you successfully defeat your enemy when you are dead? So, what do you call them when they retreat and run? Cowards?

A NATO spokesman reassures us that, "such posts are established and removed when they are not serving a purpose.” Right. Besides, US Crusaders prefer bombing anonymously from the skies where they can pick on innocent civilians while padding their body counts.
Of course, I’m being satirical but I’m using the flawed logic of the state to expose its lies. The military abandoned that position in Afghanistan because the benefit or advantage of holding and defending that area was no longer worth the costs. Iraq War supporters claim that withdrawing from Iraq and completely ending the occupation would be defeatist, cowardly and refer to such an act as “cut and run.”
Critics of the Iraq invasion/occupation (some, former supporters of the action) have since concluded that a subsequent cost/benefit analysis of the war reveals a loss. The cost is no longer worth the benefit hoped for when the invasion began. Immediate, complete withdrawal is the only rational response.
The retreat from that area of Afghanistan was a perfectly rational move by the military. It makes just as much sense (for the same reasons generated from a rational analysis) to withdraw from the killing fields of Iraq. One may not agree with the cost/benefit analysis but would be incorrect and even hypocritical to label the action “cowardly.”

Quotes of the Week

From the Light:

“Gold doesn’t emerge from a printing press. Gold cannot be mass produced to fund an “energetic presidency.” That’s why governments have no use for it. “
George F Smith

"Wartime brings the ideal of the State out into very clear relief, and reveals attitudes and tendencies that were hidden. In times of peace the sense of the State flags in a republic that is not militarized. For war is essentially the health of the State. The ideal of the State is that within its territory its power and influence should be universal. As the Church is the medium for the spiritual salvation of man, so the State is thought of as the medium for his political salvation. Its idealism is a rich blood flowing to all the members of the body politic. And it is precisely in war that the urgency for union seems greatest, and the necessity for universality seems most unquestioned."
Randolph Bourne

From the Darkness:
"Patriotism is deeper than its symbolic expressions, than sentiments about place and kinship that move us to hold our hands over our hearts during the national anthem. It is putting the country first, before party or personal ambition, before anything."
John McCain

Maybe that’s’ a way of killing them.”

When the Cat’s Away the Mice Can Make Money

It’s not exactly news that Congress, and government in its entirety, is bad for business. Knowing that fact, why not profit from it?

According to financial writer Mark Skousen, investor Eric Singer has created a mutual fund that beats the market but is only invested 30% of the year. That’s right- during that time when the Congress-critters take a breather from torturing the electorate, i.e., their summer vacation.

He's [Singer] discovered an incredible anomaly in the marketplace: Stocks do better (a lot better) when Congress is out of session, and do poorly (very poorly) when Congress is in session.

It’s called the “Congressional Effect.”

He finds that the S&P 500 Index has gone up only 1.6% a year during the time when Congress is in session... and a whopping 17.6% annually when Congress is in recess.

During the time Congress is hard at “work” finding new ways to tax and regulate you to death the fund invests in interest bearing accounts and when the gangsters split town it invests in stock indexes

You can invest in the fund directly at http://www.congressionaleffect.com/.

The Real Meaning? Limited Government is a Myth!

Jacob Hornberger, in “The Real Meaning of the 4th of July,” illustrates well (and unintentionally, I believe) the fallacy that the state can protect individuals and their inalienable liberty:

“While they recognized the necessity for government – as a means to protect their rights – they also recognized that the federal government was the greatest threat to their rights.”

So how can an organization that is the “greatest threat” to individual’s rights be trusted or even considered a wise, viable choice to protect people’s rights? Isn’t the contradiction obvious? The Founder’s thought that a written piece of paper (the Constitution) would hold back the tyrannical leanings of the state. This goofy idea has been proven wrong beyond a shadow of a doubt. The US state began encroaching on the lives and liberties of American individuals before the ink was even dry on that worthless piece of parchment.

What better evidence to prove that elimination, not impotent regulation, of the state is the only viable alternative? One of history’s most murderous tyrants, George W. Bush, has made at least one statement that is true; ‘The Constitution is just a g.d. piece of paper.”

Rogue Rant From the Past

February, 2001:

Sent to the Dallas Morning News:

Only the government can come up with a term as absurd as “minority majority.” Leave it to a tabloid wannabe like the Dallas Morning News to be irresponsible enough to repeat the term without question (Minorities on Pace to be Texas Majority by 2005”).

Maybe government and media both will finally be honest and use the more accurate term for “minority,” i.e. “non-white.” But of course they can’t because it would expose the covertly racist activity of these government bean counters. Being a minority is a relative situation. When whites are outnumbered will they then be referred to as “minority?” Fat chance, even though they would fit the proper definition of the word. Maybe they would now be a “majority minority.” See how ridiculous this gets?

Demographer Dr. Steve Murdock claims, “If socioeconomic trends
continue, Texans, as a whole will earn less, be less educated and occupy lower-end jobs than they do today.” Can anyone but me see what a purely bigoted, racist statement this is? In other words, “if you ain’t white, hoss, you can forget having any kind of life in Texas!” Dr. Murdock seems to believe (like all good, bigoted leftists) that only whites can achieve and prosper because minorities (whoops- non-white) are precious victims of “discrimination, poverty, and lack of opportunity.” The last I heard, discrimination was outlawed many times over. The individual determines their own poverty- no one else. There is arguably more opportunity in this state than anywhere else in North America!

Of course Dr. Murdock’s solution is the same that’s been offered for any kind of social problem, real or imagined, since a light bulb went off in Karl Marx’s head- tax the rich, redistribute the wealth, punish and maybe even remove those evil whites, and create conflict among the races.

Our greatest strength is not diversity, Dr. Murdock, it is freedom! Burdening the taxpayer (white and non-white) with more wasteful and ineffective “investments” will only restrict that freedom, making it more difficult for the people you supposedly want to help succeed. Also part of that necessary freedom is not being tagged with the “victim” label, which will only discourage hard work and excuse failure.

A twin spin from B.O.-bama:

"There is a lesson to be learned from generations who have served: from soldiers and sailors, airmen and Marines, suffragists and freedom riders, teachers and doctors, cops and firefighters," he said. "It's the lesson that in America, each of us is free to seek our own dreams, but we must also serve a common purpose, a higher purpose."

"That's the bet our Founding Fathers were making all of those years -- that our individual destinies could be tied together in the common destiny of democracy, that government depends not just on the consent of the governed but on the service of citizens."

More Imaginative Conclusions From Scientists

From BBC News:

Data from a flyby of Mercury in January 2008 shows the planet has contracted by more than one mile (1.5km) in diameter over its history.

Over it's history? Just how long has man been around to view Mercury’s history? A very short time I would say and a much shorter amount of time has he had the technical prowess to even study such phenomena. Exactly what baseline date are they using to come to such a conclusion and how was that baseline data obtained?

This story reminds me of a desperate evolutionist that conceived, through a detailed sketch, the bodily structure and appearance of an ancient bird. The evidence he used to make his conclusions was not a structurally detailed fossil but an egg shell fragment! Magic!

Christo-Fascists Warm to McCain

The pseudo-Christian Church mob is looking for the right gangster to align with in the State mob. Election time is the period when both mobs decide just who their friends and enemies are- at least for this election cycle. Both War Party candidates are working hard to impress the Christo-fascists; harping on the usual pabulum of faith, core values, and unity.

A couple of quotes from Phil Burress, an evangelical political activist, stand out:

"People are not saying, 'Let's all go out and support John McCain. It's more like, 'We have to do what we have to do for our country.' Basically, that boiled down to John McCain."

"The only evangelicals that will support Obama are the ones who haven't read their Bible, The more and more we learn about Obama, the closer and closer we get to McCain."

Since when are Christians called to serve a country? Mr. Burress seems to be the wrong one to be giving advice about reading the Bible. Apparently, he missed the part about worshipping idols.

Bomb Them! They have Monkeys!

Amerikan exceptionalists are in an uproar about the fact that Iran is importing monkeys captured from the African bush and sent to a “secretive” laboratory for experiments.

The article in Times Online stresses the objections animal rights activists have to the cruel treatment of the precious monkeys. It also relates the concerns of some (meaning the US government) that the monkeys may be used for research involving biological weapons. The American state doesn’t like competition in the field of mass murder.

According to US intelligence, the pharmaceutical industry in Iran has long been used as a cover for developing a germ warfare capability.
Sound familiar? Soon, the USG will be once again bombing aspirin factories. In 2005 the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence mentioned Iran’s “assessed probable BW [biological weapons] programme.” I say we be as concerned with this “probable” program as much as the “possible” WMD’s in Iraq.

Don’t ‘Support’ Your Enemy

July 4th is another one of those times that state apologists, the yellow ribbon crowd and the corporate media bark continually about “supporting The Troops.” It’s bad enough that anyone can connect Independence Day (marking independence from the state) with reaffirming your allegiance and gratitude to that same institution. That’s seed for another discussion. The point I want to make is if you truly cherish independence and individual liberty there is no rational justification for supporting The Troops.

Who do The Troops fight for? Do they fight “for you?” This is the mantra repeated ad nauseam by pro-military nationalists. Who employs the troops and gives their orders? The state, of course. Do you give orders to the state? You do if you believe in the myth of democratic accountability. In reality, you, as an individual, have absolutely no influence on the actions of the state and therefore have absolutely no influence over the actions of the military. The Troops take orders from the ruling regime and it is that regime whom they defend, fight for, and die for. This is a fact regardless that The Troops have been conditioned to believe they are fighting for “family and country.”

The fact that the state is an enemy to freedom is indisputable. If the restoration of individual liberty is your goal than The Troops can certainly not be your ally or even a benign organization since their only priority is to defend the state that is your enemy!

Do you object to war? Who creates and instigates war? The state, of course. We’ve already concluded they are your enemy. Who actually executes these wars? The Troops, of course. Without these willing volunteers, war would be just another perverted, insane idea within the sick mind of politi-gangsters and ignorant, blood thirsty jingoists.

By “enemy” I mean some person or some collective entity that opposes your goal of individual liberty through a diametric philosophy or action. I do not suggest opposing these entities through violence. I merely suggest it is not in your best interest in the long run to support the state or its military by encouragement, gratitude, financial support or contributing in any way to their improvement and expansion. Neither should you facilitate their tasks of domination over the individual by even accepting and approving their existence.

As with all propaganda one needs to look behind all the attractive slogans, images and platitudes appealing to decency to discover the ugly, disturbing reality. Evil resides in the hearts of those who use state power to carry out their nefarious schemes. But these schemes are nothing but ideas etched on paper and in the minds of overly ambitious scoundrels. Why support those who convert these degenerate designs into reality?

July 4th- Time for the Slaves to Celebrate “Freedom”

It’s July 4- time for the bureaucrat banditos to take another day off with pay (at your expense) and promote how wonderful and necessary they all are. Where would we all be without their steely protection and firm guidance to clear the perilous path of life we clueless (privately employed) peons must navigate?

The mainstream claims this is a day to celebrate freedom by extolling the virtuous, democratic state we’re blessed with. But how can it be desirable or even reasonable to celebrate a state that “provides” and “protects” our freedom by plundering our wealth, killing innocents in our name, fraudulently educating and drugging our children (who they claim belong to them), starting wars (repeatedly) based on lies, and regulating every minutiae of our daily lives? How can an institution that maintains its authority through brute force encourage or be conducive to individual freedom?

The Founders knew the answers to these questions. If they were alive today they would most likely be spending the “holiday” putting a match to cloth.

Greenie Goons and Military Mobsters Join Forces

The enviro-wackos are aligning with the US military. A group has risen from the statist slime calling itself “Green Collar Vets“, a nonprofit organization who’s mission is “to coordinate skill development, education and employment opportunities in emerging Green Industries for U.S. military veterans.”
I’ve offered some suggestions for productive “green” jobs for ex-soldier boys and girls:

  • Help dig proper graves for all the tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis and Afghans they’ve murdered.

  • Clear invaded countries of depleted uranium and cluster bombs that will kill even more innocents in the future.

  • Close down all military bases in occupied countries and perform all necessary environmental cleanup. Only God knows what filth and pollution they have produced.

It’s the perfect union, the environmentalists and the military. One group hates the idea of humanity even populating the earth while the other is highly skilled and experienced in actively eradicating such life.

Green used to be a pleasant color, arousing sensations of pleasant summers and the smell of freshly cut grass. Now the hue brings to mind images of pagan-generated genocide and neo-Luddite tyranny.

Hallucinogen Gives Lasting Spiritual Boost

The spiritual effects of a substance in "sacred mushrooms" can last more than a year, Johns Hopkins researchers claim.

A useful medical tool or will the state just distribute it as more soma for the masses?

Hey, Adobe- When are We Getting A Flash Improvement?

Re: Adobe Improving Flash Web Search Support

Adobe is going to work with Yahoo! and Google to make it easier for search engines to sort through dynamically created Flash-based content. That’s all well and good but when is Adobe going to improve on the quality of its Flash Player to something approaching the quality of Photodex Presenter, a far superior player. The big drawback to Presenter is that it does not work for Macs. I have my portfolio galleries presented in slide shows which look great in Presenter. But in order for Mac users to view these shows I also must present them in Flash where the images appear smaller, much less sharp and the transition effects jerky and not smooth.

Governor Perry Takes More Bribes

Gov. Rick Perry's request for a waiver of federal corn-based ethanol production mandates was prompted by a March meeting he had with East Texas poultry producer Lonnie "Bo" Pilgrim, who six days later gave $100,000 to the Republican Governors Association chaired by Perry.

Perry already has already shown his corruptibility in the not too distant past when he signed a controversial executive order requiring girls aged about 11 or 12 to be vaccinated with Gardasil, a vaccine against the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV). The order closely followed Perry receiving a political donation from Merck, the vaccine’s manufacturer.

Gimme Your Votes & Your Money, But Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Doug Newman’s newest columns complement well my post from yesterday concerning the Church aligning itself with the state. In “The Waning Political Clout of Evangelicals” Doug explains why Christians shouldn’t hook up with political movements to achieve societal spiritual reform or improvement. In “When They Came for the Philadelphia Christians” he documents a great example how the state loves yours money and your votes but rejects the gospel that you preach and its rightful place in the marketplace of ideas.

Beware the Church/State Alliance

Democrats have usually conceded the evangelical vote during presidential elections, but Sen. Barack Obama is trying to change that by mobilizing what some call the "Christian left."

The state is a protection racket run by political gangsters. The church (as represented by organized religion) is a con run by salvation brokers. Both organizations prey on the fear of the public- fear of harm while on earth and fear of where they will spend the afterlife.

Things get spooky when the two enterprises look to work together. The consistent result in such cases is less religious freedom and less overall individual freedom. There cannot be less political freedom since the term is an oxymoron.

How the Sheeple Enjoy the Faux of July

What will the sheeple do on this day when:

  1. Fireworks are outlawed completely because they disturb the birds?

  2. Beer is outlawed to expand the profitable War on Some Drugs to include hops and malted barley?

  3. Outdoor barbecues are prohibited because they contribute to global warming?

Oh well, they'll still have their goofy parades to waste away their holiday hours. No, wait- parades will also be forbidden when it is determined that such events can be gathering places for subversives and child molesters!
