Snapshot of the State

“You who are so-called illegal aliens must know that no human being is ‘illegal’. That is a contradiction in terms. Human beings can be beautiful or more beautiful, they can be fat or skinny, they can be right or wrong, but illegal? How can a human being be illegal?”

Elie Wiesel

Quotes of the Week

From the Light:
"That saying about death and taxes is both evil and stupid; it's a soul-destroying and mind-destroying perversion of reality. It's evil, because it makes people reflexively accept the worst things in the world as permanent and inevitable. As for death, technology is actively advancing to vanquish it. Who knows how far medicine, biotech, and nanotech can delay the onset of death? And taxes are, at best, an artifact of a primitive feudal world; they're actually no longer necessary in an advanced, free-market civilization."
Doug Casey

"It is government that should stand in fear of the people. Government is afraid of an educated and intelligent populace. Government is threatened greatly by self-responsibility and self-reliance. Government becomes impotent in the presence of peace. Government cowers when confronted by a unified people. Government loses control when the people know the truth."
Gary D. Barnett

“With the apparatus of state education over many years serving to bamboozle the populace into the hardened belief that government has a positive role to play in virtually all aspects of modern life, it should come to no surprise to anyone that, when push comes to shove, people are now trained to look to government to solve the problems – even when it was the government that created the problems in the first place.
Thus, confronted with the intractable mess they have made, these governments have to keep alive the mythology they have created about their omnipotence. Which is easier said than done, because with things now swirling fairly quickly around the drain, the mob is beginning to lose faith – and even patience.”
David Galland

“In the economic decline of any civilization, political elites routinely call on a very limited playbook: more debt, more regulation, more restriction on freedoms, more debasement of the currency, more taxation, and more insidious enforcement.
Further, the propaganda machine goes into high gear, ensuring the peasant class is too deluded by patriotic fervor to notice they're being plundered by the state.
And just in case anyone falls out of line or starts thinking too much, they give a handful of people badges, weapons, and the authority to terrorize the population.
Whether direct taxation in the form of outright theft, or indirect taxation in the form of inflation, these tactics have been used for millennia to maintain privilege for an elite few at the expense of everyone else.
This time is not different.”
Simon Black

“Free people don't belong to gods or governments; they belong to themselves.”
Garry Reed

“The dangers of academic deification are numerous. Those who dominate the educational language of the times determine the moral compass (or lack of compass) of the curriculum. They control who is accepted and who is rejected, not by measure of intelligence or skill, but by their willingness to conform to the establishment ideal. They construct a kind of automaton class, which has been taught not to learn independently, but to parrot propaganda without question. Simultaneously, those of us who do not “make the grade” are relegated to the role of obliged worshippers; accepting the claims of the professional class as gospel regardless of how incorrect they happen to be. To put it simply; the whole thing is disgustingly inbred.”
Brandon Smith

“When smallpox, polio, tuberculosis or flu kill millions, our response is to isolate or quarantine their carriers, develop treatments and vaccines, and do our damnedest to eradicate those diseases. We don’t waste our time worrying about what new diseases may pop up or what might follow a cure; we deal with that which afflicts us first and foremost.
But when anarchists point out the deadly nature of the state, which routinely and predictably kills people in numbers on the same scale as any of those aforementioned scourges, its defenders clasp the disease to their breasts and wail that they just don’t know what we’d do without it.”
Thomas L. Knapp

“I think the U.S. is desperately fighting its last great imperial war against the world. I think the U.S. will lose this WAR and destroy its Empire and its global financial system. Obama has become the Undertaker of the U.S. Global Empire and, if he and his desperate strategists keep attacking the world, he will be the Undertaker of the U.S. as it now exists. By all indications, they will continue to destroy the U.S. unless some greater power, perhaps a Great Awakening of the American people who would prefer not to be impoverished or torn apart by the Obama Undertaker Strategy.”
Jack D. Douglas

From the Darkness:
“1. Every budget decision should be assessed by whether it protects or threatens human life and dignity
2. A central moral measure of any budget proposal is how it affects 'the least of these' (Matthew 25). The needs of those who are hungry and homeless, without work or in poverty should come first
3. Government and other institutions have a shared responsibility to promote the common good of all, especially ordinary workers and families who struggle to live in dignity in difficult economic times.”
From a letter from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to members of the U.S. House [Sadly, no mention of protecting the party being looted in order to fund these goals.]

“It’s time for a change: Schools should remain open until 5 or 6 p.m. The result would be better-educated students and less-stressed parents.”
Peter Orszag, Washington Post, looking to imprison children in government warehouses for even longer periods

“People will accuse me of going too far. But to be honest, that’s an easy thing to say if you do not know the facts. My eyes have been opened by seeing these problems [of child abuse]. They came as a shock. You can see that these parents need help, since they’ve no control over their own lives. When it’s clear that’s the case, perhaps contraception would be the best step.”
Pieter van Vollenhoven, calling for forced birth control for people with drug addiction, psychiatric patients and other people deemed unfit to reproduce.

“Too often, the world has failed to prevent the killing of innocents on a massive scale. We are haunted by the atrocities that we did not stop and the lives we did not save.
These technologies [ satellite communications, mobile phone and Internet technology] should be in place to empower citizens, not to repress them.”
B. Obama, announcing new sanctions on Syria and Iran, as well as the “digital guns for hire” that develop technology enabling the two governments to monitor, track and harass their own people [Of course, Our Great Leader would never misuse such technologies.]

“We always have a concern about in particular the [Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps] and [their] efforts . . . to expand their influence not only throughout the Middle East but into [South America] as well. That, in my book, that relates to expanding terrorism. And that’s one of the areas that I think all of us are concerned about.”
Leon Panetta, expanding his full spectrum paranoia

“The target is to hunt down environmental violators. Knowledge of both of these gases is not only decisive for climate forecasts, but also for monitoring international climate treaties. Up to now there has been no reliable way of monitoring the implementation of the Kyoto and Copenhagen treaties.”
Astrium President Evert Dudok, announcing his company’s development of a new surveillance satellite that will measure man-made carbon emissions from space in order to “hunt down” violators of international climate agreements, allowing Big Brother to enforce a future tax on CO2 emissions.

"This is what presidents do. It's taken Obama two years to get there, but this has happened throughout history. You can't be in that office with all its enormous responsibilities -- when things don't happen, you get blamed for it -- and not exercise all the powers that have accrued to it over time."
Jack L. Goldsmith, former legal counsel in the Bush Regime, defending Obama’s aggressive use executive power to govern in the face of Congressional obstructionism.

"The United States must take the necessary steps to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. I support strong sanctions against Iran and believe that the United States must also continue to take a leadership role in pushing other countries to implement strong sanctions as well. Iran must not have an escape hatch."
Elizabeth Warren, a Democratic Senate hopeful in Massachusetts, ignorant that the Obama Regime has admitted that Iran is doing no such thing

“We should also be preparing our allies, and the world, for the reality that unfortunately, if all else fails, preventing a nuclear Iran may, tragically, require a military solution.”
Marco Rubio, another mis-informed, neo-con, chick hawk

“Opponents of industrialized agriculture have been declaring for over a decade that how humans produce animal products is one of the most important environmental questions we face. We need a bolder declaration. After all, it’s not how we produce animal products that ultimately matters. It’s whether we produce them at all.”
James E. McWilliams, NY Times, claiming the mass production of meat is not “sustainable”

"It's not a question of return. It's a question of morality."
Francois Hollande, socialist candidate for the presidency of France, defending his proposal to tax anyone with an annual income of over one million euros at a rate of 75%. [Yes, the morality of a thief.]

“No, no, no risk of that.”
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, when asked if the US faces the same debt problems as Greece [This is the same guy who said there was no risk of the US losing its AAA credit rating.]

“I intend to sit down with the TSA immediately and demand some answers.”
Congressman Denny Rehberg, giving a typical, super lame response to the TSA’s abuse and harassment of a four year old girl

Hooray for the TSA!

Thanks, TSA, for showing me what a terrorist looks like:

Thanks to the keen eye and the tireless, comprehensive, investigative work of the Pot-Bellied Pedophiles of the TSA, I can now identify the terrorist threat amongst us. And here I thought this threat was merely a ploy by the government to encourage me to willingly give up my liberties for security. It’s truly amazing that these characters have been around me all this time but I did not recognize them for the dire threat that they are. What an ingenuous disguise- murdering, freedom-hating, fanatical, evil doers look just like bright-eyed, cute, innocent little girls! How deceived I have been! I now feel utterly embarrassed and certainly incompetent to protect myself. Thank God for our Protectors in Blue Gloves!

The problem is, I see these individuals seemingly everywhere. I’ve recently noticed they tend to naturally aggregate near elementary schools. Perhaps that is their cover. Diabolical! I’m betting these so-called "schools" are actually terrorist sleeper cells where these terror babies are created! See something ! Say something! See something ! Say something!

In the future I will now willingly have my genitals molested by my much loved protectors and never hesitate to have my butt cheeks grabbed, caressed and probed by these bold, brave public servants. My anal cavity will always be welcome to their loving, caring inspection.

Thank you, TSA, for showing what real patriotism is. Congratulations, TSA, for proving your worthiness to those who scoff and demean you and challenge your effectiveness. Perhaps your detractors have now been proven to love terrorism and should be encouraged or even forced to move to North Korea! Make sure they’re on the next flight out!

Meddlesome Tyrants

This past Sunday morning I was checking out my groceries at a nearby Walmart. The clerk pulled aside a bottle of wine I had intended to purchase and consume, saying she couldn’t sell such merchandise before noon. I looked at my watch. It was 10:45. I joked that walking outside with that bottle of wine before the designated “legal” hour would most certainly cause the heavens to collapse, society to degenerate into total chaos, and inspire mothers to start eating their babies. The drive home found me pondering the nature of such trivial, nonsensical regulations and the boorish, childish minds that create such crap.

So often we take for granted these state-induced inconveniences and dismiss them as part of life, just bothersome annoyances that are a “normal” part of existence. But sometimes it’s good for free individuals to actually read in black and white, word for word, the ridiculous rules shoved down our throats by the fascist, control-freak, ruling class- all designed to make our lives miserable and to provide them the perverted sense of power all sociopaths crave.

Thanks to a couple kind, lady bureaucrats at the City of Plano, I was directed to this statement emanating from the Powers-That-Be that work and reside in that dome-shaped dung heap in Austin:

Sec. 105.04. HOURS OF SALE: WINE AND BEER RETAILER. The hours of sale and delivery for alcoholic beverages sold under a wine and beer retailer's permit or a wine and beer retailer's off-premise permit are the same as those prescribed for the sale of beer under Section 105.05 of this code, except that no sale shall be allowed between 2 a.m. and noon on Sunday.

Sec. 105.05. HOURS OF SALE: BEER. (a) No person may sell, offer for sale, or deliver beer at any time not permitted by this section.

(b) A person may sell, offer for sale, or deliver beer between 7 a.m. and midnight on any day except Sunday. On Sunday he may sell beer between midnight and 1:00 a.m. and between noon and midnight, except that permittees or licensees authorized to sell for on-premise consumption may sell beer between 10:00 a.m. and noon if the beer is served to a customer during the service of food to the customer.

The above edict originates from a slimy document known as the “Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code.” I can only surmise the motivation for creating such arbitrary restrictions on people conducting a peaceful commercial transaction between two consenting parties- religious fanaticism, puritanical meddling, anti-alcohol authoritarianism, or the mistaken belief that such restrictions will prevent problems associated with irresponsible drinking. The latter, of course, is somehow particularly egregious when it occurs on this specific day known as “Sunday.” All these lobbying groups have the ear of that criminal gang known as “government.” These mob-elected banditos are only too eager to find even more ways to extend their power and tighten their demonic grip on free living individuals.

The “legal” hours of purchase are completely arbitrary, of course. No evidence or resultant reasoning can be offered for their existence. Those who claim to rule you declare these time boundaries not only accurate but necessary to maintain societal order. No evidence of such claims is required. Pleas from the human livestock for justifying such restrictions upon their freedom will be ignored. The all-knowing potentates have spoken.

My response: FUCK ‘EM!

Quotes of the Week

From the Light:
“Theft is to take someone's property against his will, i.e., by force or fraud. There isn't a clause in the definition that says, "unless the king or the state takes the property; then it's no longer theft." You have a right to defend yourself from theft, regardless of who the thief is or why he is stealing.”
Doug Casey

“[A]nyone who even presumes an interest in economic affairs cannot let the subject of war, or the moral breakdown which underlies it, go untouched. To do so would be as absurd—indeed, as dishonest—as a cleric to avoid the Commandment, ‘Thou shalt not steal’ simply because his parishioners had legalized and were practicing theft.”
Leonard Reed

“The gun control people are basically worshippers of the state. They grovel before the image of the state. They believe in the state. They see the state as redemptive: an agency of healing. This agency must be armed, they say, in order to collect the money necessary to fund the state’s messianic claims and programs.
A state that can heal must be a state that can kill. The gun control crowd worships a state that can heal. So, they call for the abolition of private gun ownership. This is consistent.”
Gary North

“We are the normal ones. We have empathy for our fellow man. We want to be left alone and we mind our own business. Anyone who is a control freak is never satisfied no matter how much they control every aspect of our lives are not normal and sane. They are the ones who need to have their heads checked not us. Anyone who want to destroy innocence and terrorize people, get off watching people basic human dignity violated is usually a sociopath ,a psychopath with narcissist tendencies is a real mental illness.”
From Lone Star Watchdog

“In order to gain the consent or implied consent of the people, the state uses many strategies that are steeped in lies and deceit. Government’s most important and necessary strategy for retaining control is fear. Fear mongering therefore, is a constant weapon in the arsenal of the state. For if the people were not afraid, they would have little use for government’s continuous assault on their liberty. Fear is a most powerful driver of emotions, and the illusion of safety a most coveted prize of the sheep. Rulers, whether elected or not, fully understand the importance of using fear tactics and the illusion of safety as weapons against the people. The desired effect is to at once purposely intimidate the population at large, while allowing for a state manufactured rescue. The result is an acceptance by the citizenry of less freedom for an imagined safety.”
Gary D. Barnett

“The Right is just like the Left in this sense: if there is a national problem, it needs a solution imposed by force. The Left favors looting people, whereas the Right favors tasing people. Either way, it is all about increasing the police powers of the state. On the extremes, the Left wants total expropriation to make everyone equally poor, whereas the Right wants total war to unify us all in a grand project of killing and being killed.”
Jeffrey Tucker

“My vote will change nothing, my protesting will change nothing, however, I can still affect change. Knowledge, the spread of truth, and the slow injection of facts into our daily conversations can change things. After all liberty must occur in the mind before it can happen in the body. And liberty is not an incremental government granted ideal, it either occurs or it doesn’t.”
Jesse Mathewson

“Democracy is the opposite of freedom, almost inherent to the democratic process is that it tends towards less liberty instead of more, and democracy is not something to be fixed. Democracy is inherently broken, just like socialism. The only way to fix it is to break it up. You couldn’t fix socialism by replacing Lenin for Trotsky or the Russians for Cubans. And you can’t fix democracy by legally restricting payments to presidential candidates, by barring felons from voting, changing the voting age, or replacing Bush Jr. with Obama, et cetera.”
Frank Karsten

“Despite what you want to believe about this nation, no form of government which criminalizes the right of any person to band together with his neighbors for armed mutual defense, against enemies foreign or domestic, can hold any validity in the mind of a free man.”
Tom Baugh

“Reactions by reflex: there is the state or there is anarchy (in the wrong definition of the word: violent chaos); civilization requires state-enforced rules; man living outside of the control of the state is a barbarian, uncivilized.
Are these true? In reality or in reflex? Consider: the state is the monopoly of legalized force over a given jurisdiction. How is living under such a system described as ‘civilized‘? Some men have a legalized authority to force others to do as ordered, to pay as ordered, to ingest as ordered, whenever ordered. With disobedience comes punishment, up to and including death.
Relationship backed and defined by force is called civilization? How is this so? If your neighbor told you to trim your hedge or he will shoot you, would you describe him as civilized? If he said he didn't want to work and that you should pay his rent, or else he has the authority to put you in jail, with what term would you define the relationship? ‘Civilized’ does not come to mind."
From the blog, “bionic mosquito”

“Those who buddy up with and infuse themselves with the political class have a real disgust for mankind. They regard humanity as naive and unfit for actual freedom. That is why is must be molded and directed like a herd to slaughter. By the same token, these central planners completely overestimate the extent of their own knowledge and perceptions on how society ‘should run.’ They picture themselves as the deserving class to have a seat at the throne by virtue of their own intelligence; not the unthinking cogs in the machine like truck drivers, fast food workers, or bartenders.”
James E. Miller

“You don't have to change the whole world- you only have to change yourself- and the way you deal with the world. Your life will improve at that moment and any change beyond yourself will just be icing on the cake.”
Kent McManigal

“U.S. Presidential politics is a complete scam. Like they say, ‘Don’t vote, it only encourages them.’ It’s sickening–mostly that there are so many that don’t see it. Plain and simple.
More than that, to grasp that this crossroads of understanding is a place of decision that has everything to do with your spiritual outlook and overall perspective, that’s profound. But few will get that.”
Zen Gardner

Mitt Romney [But why enforce “current laws” that ALSO burden gun owners?]

"These people [Republican opponents] are not conservatives. They're not Republicans, They're radical libertarians and I'm doggone offended by it."
Orrin Hatch, perturbed that someone would have the gall to run for his office

“There's a very dangerous enemy out there with capabilities and with safe havens in Pakistan. To get out before the Afghans have a full grip on security, which is a couple of years out, would be to invite the Taliban, Haqqani, and al-Qaida back in and set the stage for another 9/11."
U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker, keeping the fear and myths alive

"You jerk-off… what did you win?!
You killed no Americans…”
Geraldo Rivera, speaking to a member of the Taliban after a Taliban offensive where a number of Afghanistan’s urban areas were hit in a coordinated paramilitary attack

“We’re within an inch of war almost every day in that part of the world [the Korean Peninsula]. And we just have to be very careful about what we say and what we do.”
Leon Panetta [Get your sorry butts out of there and there won’t be a problem.]

“We have a clear agenda in this regard: Disclose, reform the system reducing the roll of money in campaigns, and amend the Constitution to rid it of this ability for special interests to use secret, unlimited, huge amounts of money flowing to campaigns.”
Nancy Pelosi, looking to quash the interests of those opposed to establishment Democrats.

“We know who the active [climate change] denialists are – not the people who buy the lies, mind you, but the people who create the lies. Let’s start keeping track of them now, and when the famines come, let’s make them pay. Let’s let their houses burn. Let’s swap their safe land for submerged islands. Let’s force them to bear the cost of rising food prices. They broke the climate. Why should the rest of us have to pay for it?”
Steve Zwick, Forbes Magazine

“Ted Nugent should be arrested. Not because he doesn't like Barack Obama but because he got up in front of a group of people and insinuated he would attempt to assassinate Obama if he's re-elected. Or let's put it this way: A man with a truckload of guns has threatened the life of our president while the country's at war.”

Snapshot of the State

"Notice that the rulers we call 'monsters' and 'psychopaths' are able to rely on countless 'normal' people to execute their directives. That is what should shock us perpetually.....

.....It should shock us into examining our own souls. It’s also the best reason for limiting the state."

Quotes of the Week

From the Light:
“For those who don’t want to be under the threat of coercion, inherently anarchy works. For those who prefer peaceful means of relationships, anarchy works. For those who believe the initiation of force is wrong, again anarchy works. For such people, in fact it is the only form of structuring society that ‘works.’
For those who believe it is right that man lords over man, anarchy does not work. For such people, the state certainly works. For those who believe that the same act could be either legal or illegal, depending on the employer of the actor, the state works. For those who believe that force and coercion is the proper means by which to order society, the state works.”
From the blog, “bionic mosquito”

“Blaming capitalism for the world's economic ills is like blaming the guy who invented gunpowder for nuclear holocaust. Sure, you could make an argument that the two are loosely related, but the real blame lies with the system itself-- a system which awards perverse power and control to an elite few.”
Simon Black

“People talk about how it should be a ‘living document’ that evolves with the times. But those people almost always want to abolish what few limitations there are on the government. They want to change the actual working parts of the Constitution, the ones that define and shape the government, not the tedious pages with ‘Robert's Rules of Order’ type stuff governing how motions are passed in Congress and the like. Curiously, this trivia – about how the president of the Senate is elected and so forth – is the only part of the Constitution that the government still adheres to. It follows the trivia fastidiously but disregards the important parts that designate what the government may and may not do.”
Doug Casey

“The constitutionalism of Ron Paul (returning to its original interpretation) appears for him quite possibly to be a means to a greater goal, which is a libertarian society, which in this context implies wide social agreement on the concept of voluntary self-governments and tolerance of them. The quickest way to get there is by making as much of government as possible optional or voluntary. This means making secession at the personal level more and more of a reality. And even if it is difficult to see how this can happen, it is very important to keep it in view as a goal. This goal contrasts starkly with any spreading of government involuntaryism (or coercion) into more and more areas of life, here and across the world.”
Michael S. Rozeff

“The political class is not really running things. As I’ve written many times, the political class is only the veneer of the state; it is not the state itself. The state is the permanent bureaucratic structures, those untouched by elections. These institutions make up the real ruling apparatus of government.”
Jeffrey Tucker

“Economics is simple. Nearly the full extent of it can be taught in a near pamphlet, as has been done in Henry Hazlitt's ‘Economics in One Lesson.’ That is the full extent that any individual needs and should know about economics.
Those four to eight years in college to get a bachelor or PhD in Economics? Pure mental masturbation – at best.”
Jeff Berwick

“Austrian economics HAS taught me that if I want to live a more comfortable life in a more comfortable world, the only way this can be achieved is through the application of the golden rule by society as a whole. It is interesting that morality is not forced upon us by some great all powerful being, yet if we reject the golden rule, the natural laws of the universe will make our life a living hell. Conversely, if we were all to obey the golden rule, life on this Earth would approach a state of Nirvana.”
Michael Suede

"….No society can achieve any kind of justice based on the concept that some people have a "right" to coerce disfavored people for the benefit of favored people.
It simply creates a power struggle that is endless, pointless, futile, and destructive.”
Garry Reed

“The truth is, there’s really no need for a ‘Constitution’ to maintain peace and civility in a free society. Just follow the rule of law, by forbidding the initiation of physical aggression, forbidding theft and fraud, and forbidding trespass.
Assigning a monopoly power to an institution – government – in which the people are compelled by law to use, with threats of violence to enforce such a relationship, is immoral and criminal in nature, and violates the individual’s right to choose which services one wants to use.
In a free, civilized society, no one should be above the law, and no one has any legitimate authority over anyone else without voluntary consent.”
Scott Lazarowitz

“The true slave is not a person who has been shackled, beaten, tortured, and made to comply under threat of death. As long as that poor soul has the spirit of rebellion and is ever seeking freedom, they are not imprisoned fully. The true slave is a person who enjoys their subservience, who is weighted with fear by the very idea of independence from the system, and who would actually fight and die to maintain the establishment which enslaves them. The true slave is not able to imagine living any other life beyond his micro-managed existence.”
Brandon Smith

“ALL nations are born in divorce and secession from other imperial or dying nation-states. It is the natural ecology of governments around the world as they create unsustainable hothouses of dependency and oppression that inspire the orchids of liberty that briefly spawn. I say briefly because the fire of liberty and freedom is usually quickly extinguished by the weed of rot and tyranny we call modern government.”
Bill Buppert

“You might as well expect the rivers to run backward as that any man who was born free should be contented to be penned up and denied liberty to go where he pleases.”
Chief Joseph Nez Perce

From the Darkness:
“Some people worry that the real goal is to control populations. All these side issues have attached themselves to the core idea that men and women should be able to decide when to have a child. As a result, birth control has almost disappeared from the global health agenda.”
Melinda Gates, demonic authoritarian and eugenicist

“When you carry a gun, you mean to harm somebody, kill somebody. We’ve got to get the gun out of the hands of people who are supposed to be on neighborhood watch.”
Bill Cosby, commenting on the Trayvon Martin killing

“Unless the international community is equally committed to supporting the Syrian people and thwarting Assad, including by military means, the killing will go on and there will be no hope to a diplomatic end to the conflict.”
From a joint statement by Joe Lieberman and John McCain, looking to create some killing of their own

“I’ve met libertarians who say Dr. Martin Luther King, Dr. King, is somebody they can’t support because someone should have the right to exclude people in this country from being able to go into a restaurant, go into a hotel or go into a place of business solely based on the color of their skin. You can’t call yourself a patriot and adopt an extreme ideology that would spit in the face of Dr. King.”
Van Jones, former White House clown, making his monthly broadcast of ignorance

“An alternative is for diplomatic efforts to focus first on how to end the violence [in Syria] and how to gain humanitarian access, as is being done under Annan’s leadership. This may lead to the creation of safe-havens and humanitarian corridors, which would have to be backed by limited military power. This would, of course, fall short of U.S. goals for Syria and could preserve Asad in power. From that starting point, however, it is possible that a broad coalition with the appropriate international mandate could add further coercive action to its efforts.”
From a report, “Assessing Options for Regime Change” by the Brookings Institution, calling for military intervention in Syria

“The attackers want the Fed to slam on the brakes when it should be stepping on the gas; they want the Fed to choke off recovery when it should be doing much more to accelerate recovery. Fundamentally, the right wants the Fed to obsess over inflation, when the truth is that we’d be better off if the Fed paid less attention to inflation and more attention to unemployment. Indeed, a bit more inflation would be a good thing, not a bad thing.”
Paul Krugman, so-called “economist”

“We need a more authoritative world. We've become a sort of cheeky, egalitarian world where everyone can have their say. It's all very well, but there are certain circumstances – a war is a typical example – where you can't do that. You've got to have a few people with authority who you trust who are running it. And they should be very accountable too, of course.
But it can't happen in a modern democracy. This is one of the problems. What's the alternative to democracy? There isn't one. But even the best democracies agree that when a major war approaches, democracy must be put on hold for the time being. I have a feeling that climate change may be an issue as severe as a war. It may be necessary to put democracy on hold for a while.”
James Lovelock, authoritarian climate kook

"We won't hesitate to wage a total, relentless war to regain our territorial integrity and also to kick out of our country all these invaders who bring despair and misery.”
Mali's new interim leader Dioncounda Traore, pledging to murder whomever resists his gang’s territorial monopoly

“I think America is deeply depressing because they are 49 out of 50 of the latest republicans elected to whichever chamber it was were kind of [warming] skeptics. I think we should remove the word ‘skeptics, as Chris Rapley says, climate denialists. They don’t just don’t accept…. and there’s a major cultural problem I think in the United States politically, and that’s got to be addressed.”
Anthony Costello of the Institute of Global Health [So now it’s a “cultural problem” if individuals are smart enough to resist a scam.]

“Collectively, these programs [bank and corporate bailouts]—carried out by both a Republican and a Democratic administration—were effective in preventing the collapse of the financial system, in restarting economic growth, and in restoring access to credit and capital. They were well-designed and carefully managed. Because of this, we were able to limit the broader economic and financial damage.”
An anonymous Treasury official, defending its thieving bailout programs

Snapshot of the State

"But there is definitely a direct line of descent from the Methodist Social Gospelers of the nineteenth century to St. Hillary and the monstrous Clintonian left. Mix into "old-fashioned Methodism" liberal doses of Marxism, the New Left, the pagan pantheist New Age, and the multicultural and sexual revolutions, stir briskly, and you get the current ruling horror that we all face, and are trying to roll back out of our lives. We face, in short, regardless of what hairdo or persona she affects next week, the evil Witch in the White House."

'Occupy' Exposed as Frauds & Fascists

If you think the Occupy Movement is all about human empowerment and respect for individual sovereignty, look at this disturbing video:

After some inspiring speech (by an articulate speaker not given the courtesy of identification) the video ends with this quote by Abraham Lincoln:

“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress, and the courts. Not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert it.”

Using an Abraham Lincoln quote, singing the praises of the people as “rightful masters,” is either a conscious act of deception or merely extreme ignorance of the true nature of the Father of American Fascism and White Supremacy. The quote also gives notice to the men “who pervert” the Constitution, when he, Lincoln, stands alone as the greatest perverter and abuser of this document, who literally spit and defecated upon it in his murderous crusade to protect his precious political union. The filmmaker might as well have used a Joseph Stalin quote encouraging people to stand up for their birthright of liberty. It is just as comical and ridiculous.

This brings us to this notice from the Occupy movement calling for a May 1 “General Strike” to, among other objectives, “recognize housing, education and health care as human rights, and calls for the building of a broad coalition to make that a reality.” Of course, succeeding in such a quest would involve massive theft and violence against individually owned property. This confirms my worse fears about the Occupy movement, that it is not about empowering individuals, but empowering mobs, i.e., “broad coalitions.”
When the movement marches through the streets and chants, “This is what democracy looks like,” little do they realize just how accurate that claim is. Democracy consists elementally of marching mobs claiming ownership over the rights, property and lives of other individuals who do not include themselves among their numbers.

“Power to the people?” The power they speak of is not individual empowerment, to live your life as you see fit, free from state and corporate harassment- but the power to take the property of others to satisfy their perverted sense of entitlement. How is that thievery any different than the corporate thievery they so eloquently protest? Occupy despises theft and violence if initiated by the state protected corptocracy. They LOVE state initiated theft and violence if executed to fulfill the wants and needs of the street mobs. Their aim is to merely replace corporate created, oligarchic rule over my life with that of the majoritarian mob. Thank you, but I’ll pass on both and will resist both tyrannies with every fiber of my being.

Authoritarian tyranny can come as either a slick, packaged, corporate “service,” reassuringly explained by a manipulative media, or it can come as a large, smiling group of seemingly peaceful, societal rejects, screaming catchy slogans and emotional pleas. Learn to identify both threats. Resist them both passionately.

Come May1, I will be ceremoniously pissing on any talk of a General Strike by working hard and creating individual wealth. I will also amuse myself by imagining all of these Occupiers not working, when so few likely even have a job and even fewer likely have a job of any significance.

I give this notice to Occupiers: If you come for my property I will kill you. I don’t wish for such an event but I can live with it. This is your only warning. Please also realize, that to successfully expropriate any property belonging to me, you will have to kill me. Can you live with that?

Quotes of the Week

From the Light:
“For the ancient Aztecs, high priests used the fake threat of the solar eclipse and the swallowing of the sun as a means to control the people and force them to conduct human sacrifice to satiate the bloodlust of their rulers. In America today, we have high priests in the garb of pseudoscience who use the specter of climate change annihilation to seize similar control and condone clinical human sacrifice to satiate the thirst of environmental elitists for depopulation.”
Brandon Smith

"It's a serious problem when a society becomes highly politicized, as is now the case in the US and Europe. In normal times, a sociopath stays under the radar. Perhaps he'll commit a common crime when he thinks he can get away with it, but social mores keep him reined in. However, once the government changes its emphasis from protecting citizens from force to initiating force with laws and taxes, those social mores break down. Peer pressure, social approbation and moral opprobrium, the forces that keep a healthy society orderly, are replaced by regulations enforced by cops and funded by taxes. Sociopaths sense this, start coming out of the woodwork and are drawn to the State and its bureaucracies and regulatory agencies, where they can get licensed and paid to do what they've always wanted to do."
Doug Casey

“Democracy may look great on paper, but in modern practice of today's 'big countries', it is a terrible perversion of the principles of liberty. Like Rome and the Ottoman Empire before, the individual now exists to support the state, not the other way around.”
Simon Black

“Jefferson revered the local for a number of reasons but probably the bedrock one was that it’s the only scale of human society in which authoritay can be effectively kept within its proper limits. Bigness leads inevitably to bureaucracy – and bureaucracy is the essence of modern evil. Cold, impersonal. And macro. An army of drones administering – another army of drones enforcing. They don’t know you – and they don’t care.
Just do as you’re told.
Submit. Obey."
Eric Peters

"Villains and heroes usually switch places in historical accounts when a revolution succeeds. Today’s ‘insurgents,’ ‘terrorists’ and ‘traitors’ become tomorrow’s ‘freedom fighters.’ And today’s ‘leaders’ and ‘patriots’ become tomorrow’s tyrants and state terrorists. We’re in the early stages of a prolonged revolutionary struggle between self-organized networks and hierarchical institutions — a struggle in which I believe the forces of voluntary association and horizontalism are almost certain to win in the long run.”
Kevin Carson

“The one major commonality between the neoconservatives and the Obama leftists is that both groups love central planning. But it is central planning that has been the cause for much of the destruction of modern civilization, in the Soviet Union, the current European Union and the United States. The left and the neocons have their utopian views of the ideal society, both being authoritarian, with total government control over the people.”
Scott Lazarowitz

“Believing that the state represents their interests, and that – through ‘democratic’ processes - they control its direction and energies, most men and women identify themselves with that state. In this way, people and the state share the same ‘ego boundaries.’ When millions of people come together in this manner, it becomes easy for each to lose his or her individuality – and, hence, responsibility - in a collective identity. By engendering fear of others who share different ego-boundary identities, the state is able to mobilize ‘dark side’ forces of the collective unconscious into a critical mass that allows the state to aggrandize its powers through violent, destructive means. Adolf Hitler used such methods to organize Germans against those he called non-Aryans. In the same way has the United States employed the specters of ‘communism,’ ‘drug-dealers,’ and ‘terrorism’ to bamboozle its ego-boundary adherents into participating in its continuing war against life itself.”
Butler Shaffer

“Washington’s empire extracts resources from the American people for the benefit of the few powerful interest groups that rule America. The military-security complex, Wall Street, agri-business and the Israel Lobby use the government to extract resources from Americans to serve their profits and power. The US Constitution has been extracted in the interests of the Security State, and Americans’ incomes have been redirected to the pockets of the 1 percent. That is how the American Empire functions.
It is ironic that under the New Empire the citizens of the empire are extracted of their wealth and liberty in order to extract lives from the targeted foreign populations. Just like the bombed and murdered Muslims, the American people are victims of the American empire.”
Paul Craig Roberts

“Through trade and cooperation, everyone helps everyone else achieve life aspirations. If someone different from you is your neighbor, you do your best to get along anyway. Whether at church, shopping, at the gym or health club, or just casually on the street, we work to find ways to be civil and cooperate.
But invite these same people into the political ring, and they become enemies. Why? Politics is not cooperative like the market; it is exploitative. The system is set up to threaten the identity and choices of others. Everyone must fight to survive and conquer. They must kill their opponents or be killed. So coalitions form, and constantly shifting alliances take shape. This is the world that the state — through its election machinery — throws us all into. It is our national sport. We cheer our guy and hope for the political death of the other guy.”
Jeffrey Tucker

“Fake news is not news at all. It’s old news. Storyboarding does to the news what waterboarding does to prisoners — it persuades it to say what you want to hear. Hoodwinking the enemy on a classical battlefield — which follows its own rules of engagement — is one thing. Bamboozling civilians in modern total warfare is rather different. And swindling the crowed cheering at home is something else altogether.”
Bill Bonner

“Economic and social misery increases in direct proportion to the size and power of the central government of a nation."
Kirkpatrick Sale

“Hillary Clinton will never become president. Someone will spill a glass of water on her and she will dissolve.”
Michael S. Rozeff

We have killed all the slow and stupid ones. But that means the ones that are left are totally dedicated.”

“We need TSA. After all, terrorists continue to target commercial aviation in the U.S.”
James Carafano, Heritage Foundation [Name one- at least one not assisted by the FBI, CIA, or State Department.]

“Vaccine-preventable diseases like pneumonia and the flu continue to ravage adults across the state, resulting in the need for expensive treatments and hospital visits while driving down workplace productivity. Adult immunizations can save lives and boost the economy, but only if they are used.”

"There is no more time, or excuses or delays. This is the moment of truth. We think that [Syria’s] Assad must go, that the killing must stop. The sooner we get into a process that ends up there, the better, and I think former Secretary General Annan understands that.”
Queen Hillary, wanting to stop Assad’s killing and start her own [Where does this arrogant cow get the idea that she rules the world?]

“While evidence from some studies have raised questions as to whether BPA may be associated with a variety of health effects, there remain serious questions about these studies, particularly as they relate to humans.”

Marcó del Pont, president of Argentina’s Central Bank (BCRA) [Complete ignorance of basic economics seem to be a prerequisite to being a central banker.]

"Climate change poses a massive threat to our present social, economic and political order. From a sociological perspective, resistance to change is to be expected. People are individually and collectively habituated to the ways we act and think. This habituation must be recognized and simultaneously addressed at the individual, cultural and societal level — how we think the world works and how we think it should work."

Yale University professor Karen Seto, explaining her disgust at arrogant humans who insist on walking the earth

“It’s your standard government readiness policy – nothing particularly exciting or groundbreaking. Manufacturing a far-fetched conspiracy out of something so routine is a distraction.”
Asawin Suebsaeng, editorial fellow at Mother Jones, dismissing the implications of Obama’s National Defense Resources Preparedness executive order, which eviscerates due process and allows the government to mobilize national resources in the event of “national emergencies”

“They’ve [libertarians] taken their despicable ideology and used it a wrecking ball, that they have painted red, white and blue, to smash down every good thing in America. “Governments must take action to support institutions and mechanisms that will improve coherence, as well as bring about integrated policy and action across the social, economic and environmental pillars. There is also strong support for strengthening global governance by including civil society, business and industry in decision-making at all levels.”

“We got to do something about these Asians coming in and opening up businesses and dirty shops. They ought to go. I’m going to say that right now. But we need African-American businesspeople to be able to take their places, too.”
Marion Barry, Former District of Criminals mayor, looking to torch Asian-owned businesses in “his city”

“One of the reasons why health insurance costs middle-class families in the United States so much is that their bill includes a good share of the costs of treating those without insurance. … President Obama's plan to end those pass-along costs by mandating universal coverage was, of course, the central issue in last week's arguments at the Supreme Court. The Obama Administration's reforms shift most of the costs of the uninsured to the government.”

Leave the Sky Alone!

Yesterday, I enjoyed a perfect spring day, warm temperatures and a clear blue sky. As I headed out this morning to run some errands, I anticipated being blessed with the same kind of day. Unfortunately, as I headed down the road, I noticed this shit in the sky:

Actually, this is what the sky was about 90 minutes after I first saw it. While driving around I could see numerous jets flying straight lines, crisscrossing each other, spewing their poisonous aerosol spray into the upper atmosphere. The powers that be just won’t allow me two consecutive days of a marvelous, blue, cloudless sky. They just couldn’t bear the fact that I might enjoy two consecutive days of unhindered sunshine radiating on my body.

Today is Good Friday, the day that Jesus Christ, alleged son of God, was tortured and killed by the state that happened to claim ownership of his life and body. Two thousand years have passed, and the descendants of that criminal gang continue to control, torture and even kill their human livestock as they see fit. Now, possessing modern technology, they not only sneer, ridicule, and cheerfully destroy the wonders of the Creator, but arrogantly manipulate and alter that creation as if they own and rule it as gods, themselves.

I’ve witnessed too many days like today- too many days tolerating the environmental abuse of demented, power crazy madmen. Is it not enough they steal my property, threaten my freedom, and continually harass me? They also have to pollute and desecrate the near infinite sky above me, navigating their death machines in a pompous, intimidating display?

Quotes of the Week

From the Light:
“Everything in history revolves not around governments, but rule-breakers. They alone decide whether humanity will live tight in the fist of the authoritarian machine, or live free in the wilds of unbridled independence.”
Brandon Smith

….“’Freedom' is not achievable without an effort; a real effort. It is not achieved by prayer or by meditation, although both can support it. Neither is freedom simply the removal of a state of oppression. It is a direct and determined statement of intent to put in place a better world and to take the actions that give expression to this intent: physically, mentally and spiritually.”
Julian Rose

“I ask you, is our present model of the state the pinnacle of civilization? Is this fear based society the height of human civilization? Have we no more further to progress as a society? Is democracy and its associated flavors of republics and fascist states the best way to organize society? How many lives have been prematurely ended, either by direct state sponsored violence or by famine brought about by state control of resources, this past century? If the goal of governance is to make society more peaceful and prosperous, can these goals be accomplished through the introduction of more rules, more weapons, and more violent threats?”
Michael Suede

“People in power could conceivably lead the public into a more analytical mind set and into an attitude that could tolerate greater complexity and greater moral ambiguity. However, why should the powerful ever do that? Their incentive is to play up simple explanations and maintain the public in its simple ways of thought. It is to portray "us" as the good guys and always to have a roster of bad guys ready and handy. This is one way to maintain power. And the people with the power may actually believe this themselves, or many of them may.
One of the drawbacks of government-as-we-know-it, which is government of us by others who have power over us, is that we perpetuate immaturity. We discourage the development of analytical skills in favor of perpetuating simple theories of human behavior.”
Michael S. Rozeff

“Sgt. Robert Bales is to be charged with 17 counts of murder, 6 counts of attempted murder, and 6 counts of aggravated assault as well as dereliction of duty and other violations of military law. This is for the recent massacre in Afghanistan. But if he had sat in an air-conditioned office in the United States and guided a drone over Afghanistan and killed these same 17 people he would be a hero. Likewise if he had killed 17 people while devastating Fallujah in Iraq. Events like the massacre in Afghanistan only serve to divert attention from the criminality of the war to begin with.”
Laurence Vance

“It's a pity that Bush, when he was in office, made such a big deal of evil. He discredited the concept. He made Boobus americanus think it only existed in a distant axis, in places like North Korea, Iraq and Iran – which were and still are irrelevant backwaters and arbitrarily chosen enemies. Bush trivialized the concept of evil and made it seem banal because he was such a fool. All the while real evil, very immediate and powerful, was growing right around him, and he lacked the awareness to see he was fertilizing it by turning the US into a national security state after 9/11.”
Doug Casey

“I’ll even concede the high ground of the lexicon, and accept the ridiculous concept of the ‘fair share.’ I will pay my fair share as a taxpayer after, and only after, Washington starts SPENDING its fair share. Spending $1.40 and only taking in $1.00 is not fair. Borrowing trillions is not fair. And a Federal budget running north of $2 trillion a year is not fair. When DC gets serious about making real spending cuts in current year budgets, then and only then will I come to the table and talk about paying my fair share.”
Russell Longcore

“Although the former vice president [Dick Cheney] and his family do not know the identity of the donor, they will be forever grateful for this lifesaving gift.”
Cheney aide, Kara Ahern, thanking the family of Cheney’s heart donor. [They obviously didn’t know their loved one’s heart was going to keep the devil alive.]

"These decisions reflect America's over-arching goal: to maintain our strategic partnership with an Egypt made stronger and more stable by a successful transition to democracy."
State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, commenting on the US approval of $1.3 of military aide to Egypt’s military dictatorship [Makes sense- strengthen a dictatorship to "transistion" to democracy.]

“This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.”
B. Obama, speaking to Russian President Dmitri Medvedev regarding controversial issues such as missile defense [Flexibility, meaning being able to act with any accountability.]

"If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon [Martin].”
B. Obama, making shameless political hay out of the tragic killing of a teenager

“We cannot fight wars by polls. If we do that we’re in deep trouble. We have to operate based on what we believe is the best strategy to achieve the mission that we are embarked on. And the mission here is to safeguard our country by insuring that the Taliban and al-Qaida never again find a safe haven in Afghanistan.”
Leon Panetta, dismissing a New York Times/CBS News poll found that 69 percent of those questioned believe the United States should not be at war in Afghanistan,
[And here I thought the people controlled their government in the blessed USA, not like in North Korea.]

"Their lives are better. They got the better end of the deal. They weren’t innocent. They’re trying to kill us, and you want me to apologise to them? It’s like saying sorry to the enemy.”
Lynndie England, torturer of Iraqi prisoners, when asked if she would apologize to her victims

“….The Senate supports calls by Arab leaders to provide the people of Syria with the means to defend themselves against Bashar al-Assad and his forces, including through the provision of weapons and other material support, and calls on the President to work closely with regional partners to implement these efforts effectively.”
From a a Senate resolution introduced by Sen. John McCain, that calls for establishing safe zones inside Syria for civilians and support for arming the opposition against the regime of Bashar al Assad.

“Under certain circumstances, the FBI has the ability to bend or suspend the law and impinge upon the freedom of others. The FBI has the ability to gather information on individuals that would normally be protected under the US Constitution through the use of FISA, Title 3 monitoring, NSL reports, etc. We often create ethical dilemmas for others when we ask a source to provide information on someone that they normally would not provide information on. We are our own counsel, we normally don’t have the freedom to seek advice from outsiders. Issues have to be dealt with personally.”
From an FBI memo encouraging their agents to work outside the law in their quest to find alleged terrorists and criminals.

"I have a feeling that the only thing that will stop [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei] and the only thing that will stop [President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad is if they see strength, if they see power, if they see determination, if they see an America that is willing to support the people that want to overthrow the regime of Iran."
Rudolph Giuliani, showing his support for an Iranian dissident and terrorist group called the People's Mujahedin of Iran, also known as the Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK.

“The world should be ruled by a new global parliament under the auspices of the United Nations.”
Senator Bob Brown, Australian Globalist, Greens Party leader and unofficial leader of the Australian Labor Party

"This is white supremacy, and we will fight you. And before we will let you take over our city [Detroit], we will burn it down first."
Malik Shabazz, minister, commenting a financial review team was sent in by Michigan governor Rick Snyder to perform a financial review to understand the severity of the city's financial distress [Shabazz seems to forget that Detroit has been “led” by black mayors since 1974.]
