Doug Newman’s newest columns complement well my post from yesterday concerning the Church aligning itself with the state. In
“The Waning Political Clout of Evangelicals” Doug explains why Christians shouldn’t hook up with political movements to achieve societal spiritual reform or improvement. In
“When They Came for the Philadelphia Christians” he documents a great example how the state loves yours money and your votes but rejects the gospel that you preach and its rightful place in the marketplace of ideas.
