Quotes of the Week

From the Light:

“It is such twisted thinking that leads those who refuse to examine the content of their minds to bleat about the soldiers who "fight for our freedom." What nonsense. Shall we next be told that Sunset Boulevard hookers are peddling virtue?”

Butler Shaffer

“I’ve had enough of change. What we really need is restoration.”

Tom Chartier

From the Darkness:

A twin spin from B.O.-bama:

"There is a lesson to be learned from generations who have served: from soldiers and sailors, airmen and Marines, suffragists and freedom riders, teachers and doctors, cops and firefighters," he said. "It's the lesson that in America, each of us is free to seek our own dreams, but we must also serve a common purpose, a higher purpose."

"That's the bet our Founding Fathers were making all of those years -- that our individual destinies could be tied together in the common destiny of democracy, that government depends not just on the consent of the governed but on the service of citizens."

Kind of like how scientists "confirmed" the existence of water on Mars due to some material apparently disappearing from a trench! Now, it may even be "likely" that it was sublimated ice, but saying it is a fact is ridiculous.

For a fresh and radical new look at science, read up on the Electric Universe:
